White Coffee 101: What It Is & Why People Love It ☕
Have you ever heard of white coffee and wondered what makes it different? Let’s break it down.
What Is White Coffee?
White coffee is roasted for about half the time of a traditional medium or dark roast. Because it’s pulled from the roaster much earlier, the beans stay very light in color and much denser than regular coffee.
Why People Love It
• Smoother, lighter flavor – Many people who don’t enjoy the bold taste of traditional coffee absolutely love white coffee. It has a nutty, slightly sweet flavor.
• Higher caffeine content – Since it’s roasted for less time, it retains more of its natural caffeine. If you’re looking for an extra kick to start your morning, white coffee delivers.
• Lower acidity taste profile – It tends to taste gentler and less sharp compared to darker roasts.
How We Prepare Ours
White coffee beans are extremely hard because they aren’t roasted very long. In fact, they’re so dense they can easily damage a standard at-home grinder.
That’s why we grind all of our white coffee specifically for espresso machines, which is the best and most consistent way to brew it. Espresso extraction pulls out its smooth flavor while maximizing that natural caffeine boost.
Many of our customers enjoy it as:
• A white coffee latte
• A blended iced drink
• Or even mixed 50/50 with a traditional roast for a custom flavor + caffeine combo
If you’ve never tried white coffee before, it might surprise you — especially if you’re someone who says, “I don’t really like coffee.”
