A Single Origin Favorite, Bright, Floral & Bold
Did you know Ethiopia is widely considered the birthplace of coffee?
Legend has it that a goat herder named Kaldi first discovered the energizing effects of coffee in Ethiopia over a thousand years ago—and the rest is history. Today, Ethiopia is still producing some of the world’s most complex and beloved coffees.
We're proud to offer our Ethiopian Medium Roast, a tribute to those rich origins.
☕ Flavor Notes:
Bright and acidic with intensely fruity and floral tones.
🌍 Why Ethiopian Coffee is Special:
- Ethiopia is home to thousands of naturally occurring heirloom or landrace coffee plant varieties. Many are genetically unique and only found in Ethiopia.
- Most Ethiopian coffee is grown at elevations above 1,800 meters, which contributes to its bright acidity and complex flavors.
- Ethiopia is known for its natural/dry processing methods, where coffee cherries are dried whole in the sun. This enhances fruity and floral flavor characteristics.
- Most Ethiopian coffee is grown by small-scale farmers with just a few hectares of land. Beans are often processed at local cooperatives, continuing a tradition that stretches back generations.
This isn’t just a coffee—it’s a journey to the birthplace of the bean. And once you taste it, you’ll understand why Ethiopian coffee holds a special place in every coffee lover’s heart.
